Dinosaur Environment

Robot dinosaurs don’t come with scenery. For this touring exhibit of animatronic dinosaurs from Kokoro Exhibits, I designed, co-fabricated and installed the total scenic environment. Lawrence Hall of Science Exhibits Department and Kokoro Exhibits installed the animatronics.





T-Rex mother and young. The tree trunks and boulders are paper printed with photo-textures of Redwood bark and granite. Co-workers Wendy Kitamata and Allan Ayres did lighting.

A Gallimimus steps into a clearing.


The rock outcrop—over twelve feet tall—is paper printed with granite photo-texture over a cardboard and wood frame.
